Hi,

I have decided to join a team to push myself to my limit to help Lifeline to raise money and awareness for the critical role of crisis support and suicide prevention in Australia.

This year will be the very first year that Riding4Life has been held, with teams of four to cycle 1,000km in relay format around the clock to make it from Canberra to Melbourne in under 40 hours.

We will be on the go around clock, just like Lifeline's 13 11 14 crisis support service.

Our journey will begin in Canberra at 8am Friday the 4th of October 2013 and will see us travel through Wagga Wagga, Albury, Echuca, Bendigo and Ballarat and to Melbourne with an anticipated arrival of 11:59pm Saturday the 5th of October.

We feel incredibly fortunate to live in a great country and have the opportunity to work and live life to the fullest. We know that some people are really struggling with what life has thrown at them and we wanted to take on a massive challenge to capture people attention and shed some light on these often ignored issues in our society of depression and suicidal thoughts.

We will also be organising a trivia night with a silent auction to try and raise more funds for Lifeline.  If you or anybody you know are able to donate any items which we could use for these auctions it would be greatly appreciated.
